If you haven’t been in the office lately, you should make a quick stop by! We have a tasty contest going on. Q. I keep hearing about the great results that can be achieved with Damon braces. What makes Damon braces so different?
DR. SUTHERLAND: The Damon bracket system uses the latest orthodontic technology to deliver great results. Damon braces use a sliding door technology known as passive self-ligation, allowing the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket. In most cases, this allows for natural widening of the arch form without the need for expanders. Also, the shape-memory wire moves teeth with fewer adjustments. Passive self-ligating braces like the Damon system work very well for adults, and allow the orthodontist to treat most crowded cases without extracting permanent teeth.

The Dr. In real Life
This blog is a wonderful place for us to share with you parts of our lives you do not get to see at the office. Dr. Sutherland has five children, and the youngest was married this summer. The day before was a rehearsal Dinner Hoe Down. Since Dr. Sutherland is originally from Montana, he was quite natural as a cowboy.
Additionally, Greg & Raelene celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary this summer. There was plenty to celebrate in the Sutherland household, since two weeks before the wedding their 6th grandchild was born, Evelyn Francis Kortus.
